General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

Course Objective
To prepare nurses with a sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of health team, beginning with the competences for the first level positions in all kinds of health care settings.

Duration – Three years

Intake – 80 students per annum.

Medium of Instruction – English

Eligibility
Minimum and Maximum age is 17 and 35 years respectively.
10+2 class passed or its equivalent, preferably with science with aggregate 40% marks.
Candidate should be medically fit.

Admission Procedure
Admission based on merit and interview at Institute.

Fees
As per Shikshan Shulk Samiti

Faculty
Highly qualified full time faculty and external lecturers approved by Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and Paramedical Education

Assessment
Internal Assessment at institute and final examination is conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and Paramedical Education every year

Standard of passing
50% marks in both internal and council examinations.

Practical Training
Each student has to undergo the clinical experience prescribed by Indian Nursing Council and Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and Paramedical Education each year with 95-100% attendance.
