Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha’s, Smt. Bakul Tambat Institute of Nursing Education was established in August 2000.It now has around 600 girl students pursuing various nursing courses I.e. ANM, GNM, B.Sc , P.B. B.Sc, M.Sc & Ph.D. Nursing. The institute is approved by the Indian Nursing Council, Delhi (INC), Maharashtra Nursing Council, Mumbai (MNC), Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and Paramedical Education, Mumbai (MSBNPE), Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik (MUHS) and Government of Maharashtra. The institute is NAAC ‘A’ grade Accredited.

Green Campus

Green, spacious campus with essential facilities like a bank, hostels, health club, playground and post office.

Physical Facilities

The institute has its own building with spacious classrooms, a conference room, well-equipped staff rooms, a multipurpose hall, and the principal’s office.

Extensive Library

The institute is having a library with latest books of Indian and foreign authors on nursing, allied, and general topics as well as e-learning facilities like e -journals and e- books.

Advanced Labs

It also has an advanced skill lab with a multifunctional nursing simulator and models from Germany and the USA, a community health nursing lab, a nutrition lab, an anatomy lab with specimens, models, modern AV aids, etc.

Clinical Facility

Institute has collaboration with Jnana Prabodhini Medical Trust and Lata Mangeshkar Medical Foundation which runs the 1000 bedded Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Mai Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Center is a super specialty hospital.

Faculty and teaching methodology

Experienced and committed faculty comprising full-time and as well as external faculty from different specialties. Latest techniques like videos, role play, street play, educational trips and visits to various institutes are integrated in teaching. Students are also motivated to participate actively in teaching-learning process.

Alumni Association:

The Institute of Nursing Education well established registered alumni association named “UTKARSHA ALUMNI”. Different activities are arranged under this association for their professional growth.

Hostel

Students are provided with a well-equipped hostel that includes mess facilities and recreational amenities in same campus.
