Aim
The aim of the Community Health Nursing Department is to prepare students to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based healthcare services to individuals, families, and communities, promoting health, preventing illness, and improving overall well-being through community-oriented nursing practices.
Objectives
- To equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assess the health needs of individuals, families, and communities.
- To train students in planning, implementing, and evaluating community-based health programs focused on disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness.
- To develop leadership abilities in students for managing community health initiatives and programs effectively.
- To enhance students’ understanding of social determinants of health and their impact on the overall well-being of communities.
- To foster the development of effective communication skills for educating communities on health issues, promoting healthy behaviors, and providing health advocacy.
- To prepare students to collaborate with public health agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other healthcare professionals in the delivery of community health services.
- To instill a commitment to ethical practice and cultural competence in providing care to diverse populations in various community settings.
- To promote students’ involvement in health research and the application of evidence-based practices to address community health challenges.
